Strategy and consulting for brands that love people.

For the last 14 years, I’ve worked with agencies and in-house teams to build brand experiences that bring people closer to shared purpose and new possibilities. If you’re on a mission to improve the way we work, think, and live - whether that looks like solving the mystery of the human brain or designing the perfect vegan hiking shoe - I can help you zero in on the cultural, behavioral, and market insights that connect the dots.

What I do

I create conceptual frameworks and practical tools that help teams communicate more effectively with everyone in their orbit - including each other. I’m a natural-born strategist, which is a nice way of saying that I ask “who” and “why” nonstop.

Services include: competitive analysis, positioning, brand platforms, brand voice and personality, brand architecture, creative briefs, campaign strategy messaging, naming, audience research and personas, and brand workshops.

Who I work with

I’ve worked with organizations and companies of all sizes and from a wide range of sectors, from tech startups to major nonprofits to boutique brands.

I always love to collaborate with anyone who’s passionate about what they’re doing and curious about the world around them.

Clients include: United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Smithsonian Institution, Swing Left, B Lab, Facebook, Playboy, Riders Alliance, Brilliant Earth, Thesus, AIGA, Zapier, Triller, Brown University, Esalen Institute, Janelia Institute, Liberty Hill Foundation, The Chicago Community Trust, March Studio

How I work

A few of the beliefs that guide my approach:

Asking the right questions is more important than already knowing the answers.

We need a new term for “audience,” because the people you’re trying to reach aren’t spectators - they’re active participants.

If you and your team are confused about anything related to your brand and how to express it, anyone on the outside is twice as confused.

Most meetings actually shouldn’t be emails, they should just be better organized.
